# MultiUserOpenRefine ![MultiUserOpenRefine](MUOR/static/images/logo.svg) MultiUserOpenRefine is an extension to open-source tool that, in addition to all the features described below, allows creating user accounts, each providing private workspace and leaving the convenience of running the basic OpenRefine tool on a remote server. Metaweb Technologies, Inc. was acquired by Google, Inc. in July 2010 and the product was renamed Google Refine. In October 2012, it was renamed OpenRefine as it transitioned to a community-supported product.
