Song about Stalingrad
Oh you, Volga, Volga wide,
Who does not love your shores?
Do you like the sea, is full,
Broad and strong,
And terrible for you of our enemies.
Of the great Russian river
Inaccessible worth hour.
This city-soldiers
This city-hero,
This is our battle of Stalingrad!
It holds the keys of the city of gold
Cherished by paths and roads,
And in the decisive hour
He fought more than once
And the enemy is not allowed on the threshold.
Rushed to the Volga fascist hordes,
Native land was enveloped in fire,
But Volga doors,
Beating the beasts
Menacingly stood hero Stalingrad.
From birth, the land is not seen
No siege, no such battle.
It shook the earth,
And blushed field,
Everything was burning on the Volga River.
Day after day Stalingrad fought
In an unprecedented bloody battle.
In these terrible days
they defended
And Fatherland, and his Volga.
And, gathering heroic forces
And spread the chest to its full width,
All the countless enemies
At home shores
Crushed Stalingrad-hero.
Glory to the city - twice hero
Glory to the mother of all Russian rivers,
Glory to all the brave -
Stalingrad fighters
Glory to the Motherland, glory forever! *
