A new survey of 546 children aged 12 to 18 found that 82% of respondents felt helpless about plastic waste and 25% blamed adults for the problem with disposable plastic packaging waste.
The study revealed that plastic waste was also the fourth biggest concern of parents, and 93% of the 551 parents surveyed said that their concerns about the amount of plastic waste entering the oceans were growing.
Many people who took part in the study said that they wanted to do something about plastic waste, but they just don't know how to make significant changes, which led to ecological anxiety.

Mema after the volleyball game in the semi-final ME
It wasn't an easy game.
The Slovenians had a lively audience on their side, which effectively deconcentrated Polish volleyball players.
A lot of controversy was also raised by judges who in one of the actions did not count four hits on the hosts' side.
It happened at the crucial moment of the first set, when Vital Heynen's charges had a chance to jump off their rivals and win the first game.
However, this did not happen, and Poles eventually had to recognize the superiority of the rival, who after winning 3:1 will play in the finals of the tournament.

Google creates a cloud in Poland.
Partner of PKO BP
The National Cloud Operator, PKO BP and PFR, has entered into a strategic partnership with Google.
Cooperation is intended to help Polish companies implement and exploit the potential of cloud computing technology.
Google Cloud Platform products will be included in the offer of the National Cloud Operator, and Google will open the so-called Google Cloud region in Warsaw - a hub of technical infrastructure and software dedicated to customers from Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.
The Google Cloud region will be the first installation of a global, public cloud computing in Central Europe.
Digitisation of Polish companies was one of the key assumptions underlying the project of creating the National Cloud, initiated and developed by PKO Bank Polski and by the Polish Development Fund, the shareholders of this company.
The National Cloud and Google partnership is another important step on the road that we set out less than a year ago, announcing the establishment of the National Cloud Operator.
The goal remains unchanged - digitising the Polish economy and dynamicising its growth.
"Now Polish companies will gain additional, sophisticated tools for its implementation.
Using them, they increase their chances of being promoted to the world league, which we all care about.
The fact that Google joins their group today significantly strengthens our joint project," says Zbigniew Jagiełło, President of PKO Bank Polski.
The Polish Development Fund points out that it is interested in investment projects that support the development of modern industries and enterprises.
"The investment in the National Cloud Operator fits perfectly into the PFR strategy as an important element of the country's digitisation.
It will provide businesses with modern and affordable solutions based on cloud architecture.
"I am convinced that this cooperation will also have a positive impact on the development of the Polish IT market and will attract the best specialists to it," added Paweł Borys, President of PFR.
Google Cloud offers advanced technologies, products and analytical tools based on a leading technical infrastructure providing computing power and data storage services.
Customers in Poland in their service portfolio will find all key products of Google Cloud Platform such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Bigtable, Cloud Spanner and BigQuery.
Inclusion of Google Cloud services in the offer of National Cloud will enable Polish entrepreneurs to use exactly the same advanced technologies used by their global competitors.
Thanks to us, however, they will remain in Polish jurisdiction and under the control of local regulators," says Michał Potoczek, President of the National Cloud Operator.
It adds that the company will be ready for megatrends, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), which repeatedly increase the need for computing power necessary to process huge data sets.
VI National Senior Parade
At midday, 24 August 2019, at the Roundabout de Gaulle in Warsaw, the 6th Seniors' Parade "Multiple Magnificent" and Picnic Generations, events organized by the Starting Foundation began.
According to Przemysław Wiśniewski from the Foundation: "Parada is a world-wide phenomenon.
It has already been through the centre of Warsaw for the sixth time to manifest the great and diverse community of senior citizens.
Through the Parade we counter harmful stereotypes affecting the elderly and call for intergenerational solidarity."
The parade was led by a special bunk coach serving as a musical mobile scene on which the famous Warsaw DJ Wika traditionally appeared.
Participants in the joyful corrode, on the second famous Warsaw and world hits, went through Jerusalem Avenues, Krucza Street to the Warsaw Uprising Square, Mazowiecka Street to Plac J. Piłsudskiego Square, and Królewska Street and Krakowskie Przedmieście Street to the Main Campus of the University of Warsaw.
During the march involving several thousand seniors, representing 300 senior organizations from all over Poland, colorful delegations were greeted with applause by many gathered on the march route, Warsawians and tourists.
Two organized groups in company yellow and blue T-shirts took part in the parade from Legionowa.
The first representative of the University of the 3rd Century and Senior+ Club and the second representative of SAGA, the Senior Active Group of Animators.
On the campus the organizers prepared, among others, catering stalls and numerous stands of institutions and companies offering seniors services and products to improve their daily life and functioning.
There were medical, cosmetic, culinary, recreational, sports and fashion stands.
For example, at Stylish Seniors' Stand Senior Voice from Hanna Piekarska's professionals and designer Agnieszka Wyrał, you could get tips and information about current trends in fashion 60+.
The stand also offered a workshop to learn how to move around the stage and pose for photos.
The culmination was the Senior Stylish Fashion Show.
At the stand of the National Senior Voice, there was the latest edition of the magazine and materials concerning the campaign "Stop manipulation - Don't buy at the presentation!"
The next stands offered cosmetic, motor, plastic and artistic workshops.
On several, you could do research and consult specialists on health and nutrition issues.
Discussion panels were also organized with the participation of, among others: Helena Norowicz, Beata Tadli, Mariaoli Bojarskiej-Ferenc, Tomasz Jacykow or Robert Janowski.
At the picnic there was no shortage of vocal and musical attractions.
The legend of the Polish song - Krzysztof Krawczyk appeared on the stage, and in the evening there was an intergenerational dance, led by DJ Wika.
Tasmanian devils can provide guidance on cancer treatment
Tasmanian devils may have the key to treating cancer - researchers have made a breakthrough that can revolutionize therapy for patients
Medical researchers have discovered a way to mask some cancer cells
Researchers found that the same process occurs in the Tasmanian devils and in humans.
There is hope that this discovery will bring new treatments for oncology patients
What do Tasmanian devils and humans have in common?
Cancer cells that can become invisible.
Researchers, including Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, have made a breakthrough that can help revolutionize the treatment of certain cancers if they do not respond to immunotherapy.
It may also contain a key to treating fatal tumors within the face that threaten the future of the endangered Tasmanian devil.
The study established a way of masking some cancer cells both in humans and in baggies, using a group of proteins called PRC2, which disables a marker that would otherwise signal the immune system to attack the cancer.
This may be the biggest challenge in the treatment of small cell lung cancer, neuroblastoma and skin cancer called Merkla cell cancer.
"The great importance of this project is that in patients who sometimes develop resistance to immune therapies, we can be able to reverse this process," said AAP Chief Investigator Mark Dawson of Peter Mac.
Existing therapies can be directed at reactivation of markers, proteins called MHC, which will allow the immune system to recognise cancer cells.
"Possibly it has far-reaching implications for people with lung cancer," said Professor Dawson.
"This is one of the most common diseases on earth.
And maybe we can treat her much better.
Researchers also hope that the discovery will someday be used to treat the Tasmanian devil's face tumors, where cancer cells avoid detection in a similar way.
"It is unusual that the exact same process occurs (in the case of cancers in humans and Tasmanian devils)," said Professor Dawson.
"So far, it has been very difficult to treat Tasmanian devil tumors.
But if drugs that work in humans can also be used in Tasmanian devils, there is a possibility that it will help control the disease."
Scientists are amazed by the fact that a really small star is circling a very large planet
Scientists express their surprise at the discovery of the solar system 30 light years from Earth, which undermines our current understanding of planetary formation processes, as in this system a large planet similar to Jupiter revolves around a small star called the red dwarf.
Artistic illustration of a gas-like planet GJ 3512b circulating around a central star being a red dwarf, published on 26 September 2019.
In general, stars are much larger than even the largest planets around them.
However, as scientists said on Thursday, in this case the star and planet differ slightly in size.
The size of a star called GJ 3512 is about 12% of the size of the Sun, while the mass of the planet that revolves around it is at least half the mass of Jupiter, the largest planet of our solar system.
"Yes, it is an absolute surprise," said astrophysicist Juan Carlos Morales of the Catalan Institute of Space Research at the Spanish Institute of Space Research, who headed the research published in Science magazine.
The discovery is surprising because theoretical models of the formation of solar systems suggest that low-mass stars tend to become stem stars for smaller planets similar to Earth or smaller Neptunes.
"In this case we have discovered a gas giant planet similar to Jupiter orbiting a very small star," added Morales.
This planet, which, like Jupiter, consists mainly of gas, was discovered using a telescope at the Calar Alto Observatory in Spain.
It circles its star after a very elliptical orbit, and the full lap lasts 204 days.
Red dwarfs are low and have relatively low surface temperature.
The star GJ 3512 is not only much smaller than the Sun, but to a certain extent it has a size comparable to the size of a very large planet, because it is only about 35% larger than Jupiter.
They emit less energy, so they are paler than the sun, and their surface temperature is rather low and is approximately below 3800 (degrees) Kelvin (6380 degrees Fahrenheit / 3527 degrees Celsius).
"That's why they have a reddish color," said Morales.
"There is evidence of a second planet currently circulating around this star, while the third planet could have been thrown out of the star system in the past, which could explain the elliptical orbit of a planet similar to Jupiter," said Morales.
The planets are formed from the same interstellar disk of gas and dust that gives birth to a star around which the planets are circling.
According to the leading model of planet formation called the accretion model, the object initially arises from particles in the disk, and the gravitational force of the planet at an early stage of development allows the atmosphere to arise from the surrounding gas.
This unusual layout can explain a competitive model called the gravitational instability model.
"In this case, the protoplanetary disk around the young star may be a bit more massive than we expect and can be cold," said Morales.
This leads to disc stability disturbances, so there may be some denser areas.
These masses can grow until they collapse and form a planet.
A deli worker accused of passing a bean dip co-worker containing methamphetamine
Marion County Sheriff's Office arrested Cassandra Medina-Hernandez, 38 years old, for serving a bean dip co-worker containing meth.
On Thursday, 38-year-old Albany Cassandra Ani Medina-Hernandez was accused of providing methamphetamine and causing the consumption of this substance controlled by another person - both crimes are second-degree crimes.
The charge was based on the 9th of September at the Thriftway grocery store in Jefferson.
In a statement made under oath by OregonLive.com, a 27-year-old co-worker told Marion County Sheriffs that during her lunch break, she saw Medina-Hernandez make a bean dip and then offered it to her.
According to the statement, the victim of the crime, who, according to what she gave to the investigators, never took methamphetamine, said that "she thought that one piece she ate tasted strangely, but it didn't raise any suspicion about it."
When she got back to work, she felt her stomach was upset and she couldn't stop.
According to the Albany Democrat-Herald newspaper, she went to a local hospital where it was established that the bean dip could contain meth.
According to police reports from The Smoking Gun, another employee of the Thriftway network said that Medina-Hernandez "told her that she would add drugs to food," while another admitted that the suspect had sent her a message claiming that the meth had gone to the bean dip by accident.
The OregonLive website informs about the surveillance footage from the deli, which allegedly shows how the rear facing Medina-Hernandez pulls something out of the bra, stands behind the microwave and bends over.
Then he straightens out, wipes his nose, comes up to the table and puts the bean dip in a small paper dish.
According to the police, the thing she pulled from her bra was probably also on a plate.
The Oregon Statesman-Journal reports that the sheriff's office officials claim that there are no suspicions that the customers will be given contaminated food.
Medina-Hernandez is in Marion County Prison, with a security deposit of $520,000.
According to The Smoking Gun, her extensive police record indicates that a woman has already been convicted of assault, robbery, identity theft, methamphetamine delivery, the theft, methamphetamine possession and possession of illegal weapons.
Johnson takes a blow to the continuance.
Boris Johnson's trip to the General Assembly of the United Nations was incredibly interrupted by the historic Supreme Court ruling.
However, his devastating speech in the House of Commons did not betray either shame or remorse.
To explain the meaning of this coup, the eye of the cyclone is Tony Connelly, the editor of the European RTE section in Brussels and the London correspondent Sean Whelan in Westminster.

Marcin Command after the game against Slovenia (1:3).
"The Slovenians played very well in every element.
It's a shame about the end of the set because we had our chances, but we didn't take advantage of them.
We do not hang our heads because on Saturday the match for the bronze medal," said the quarterback of the Polish volleyball team Marcin Komenda after defeat with Slovenia 1:3 in the semi-finals of the European Championship.
A talented player appeared on the field in the second and third set.
According to some, Vital Heynen should give him a better chance to show off his skills.
The Eagle Selector, however, bet on Fabian Drzyzga's experience.

Alfa Laval gets an order in the natural gas industry worth SEK 110 million
Alfa Laval - the world leader in district heating, centrifugal separation and liquid transport - has been commissioned to supply air coolers to a gas processing plant in the USA. This order is worth around 110 million Swedish kroner and has been registered in the Welded Heat Exchangers department in the power plant, and the deliveries are planned for 2020.
The order includes Alfa Laval Niagara air cooler installations, which will be used as part of cooling systems for the separation of natural gas into individual streams of its clean components - ethane, propane and butane.
Safety is crucial in all industrial processes and is extremely important for demanding applications related to natural gas processing.
"Our reliable installations of air coolers are appreciated because of their safe work, which ensures the peace of customers in the natural gas industry," says Susanne Pahlen Aklundh, President of the Power Station.
Did you know that... ethane, propane and butane can be extracted from natural gas and then used, for example, as input material for petrochemical installations, house heating or as fuel for vehicles?

Marian Banas.
What's KAS doing about Chief NIK?
Renting property for an amount below the market price - these are reservations that arise in connection with the case of the President of the Supreme Chamber of Control Marian Banasia.
We asked about what the IRS is doing in the IRS in Krakow and in the Ministry of Finance.
Bertold Kittel in a report for "Superwisjera" TVN presented doubts about the property statements of the President of the Supreme Chamber of Control Marian Banasia.
They've been under investigation by the Central Bureau of Corruption for several months now.
The audit is due to end in the second half of October, after the parliamentary elections.
According to the statements, Banas was to rent a building of 400 square meters and two smaller apartments.
In total, he received 65,7 thousand zlotys a year.
The "Supervisioner" report revealed that a hotel was located in the building he rented for an hour.
The head of NIK later explained on state television why he only charged a little more than 5 thousand zlotys a month for renting property.
"Gazeta Wyborcza," referring to experts in the valuation of real estate, estimated that it should be 15 thousand zlotys per month for the tenement itself.
"The amount was lower for a simple reason: I made a preliminary contract and it was precisely that the tenant was going to buy this building, that I agreed to a lower rent, that the remaining charges would be settled when selling the building," argued Banas.
However, there were doubts as to whether such proceedings constituted an infringement of the law.
Konrad Zawada, spokesperson of the Chamber of Tax Administration in Cracow, in a conversation with TVN24 informed that "the Ministry of Finance directly deals with this matter."
"Any such questions should be addressed to the Minister of Finance," he added.
Zawada explained that in such cases "the action is carried out by the National Tax Administration."
Press spokesman of the Ministry of Finance Paweł Jurek admitted that the National Tax Administration itself monitors many cases that may raise some concerns.
"The National Tax Administration operates in such a way that it has its own information, as well as based in a sense on information that is available to the public.
On this basis, he decides whether or not to conduct any specific case," explained MF spokesperson.
"On the other hand, due to the fact that we are all bound by tax secrecy in the entire finance department, we never speak because we cannot speak on individual matters of a particular taxpayer, a particular person or a particular company," he stressed, asked about Marian Banasi's case.
Minister of Finance Jerzy Kwieciński stressed that "the tax authorities do not transmit this kind of information to the public."
"It is known that the entire IRS deals with very many similar cases across the country," he pointed out.
Secrets of the Royal Family: Surprising guests often flying the Royal Plane have been revealed
As part of their duties, members of the royal family must travel hundreds of times throughout the world throughout their lives.
This is usually facilitated by a royal plane - a private machine that carries the royal family around the world for important events and appearances.
It is no surprise that having a plane of your own involves privileges.
Members of the royal family do not have to stand in long queues for check-in, their baggage limits do not apply, and, as it turns out, they can invite any guests - including the really unusual ones - on board.
According to the recently released Channel 5 documentary film, not only the Queen and Prince Philip often travel on a royal plane.
During the program entitled "The Secrets of Royal Flights" the former flight navigator of the queen revealed that furry guests often flew with the royal family.
Bob Shields said, "Sometimes our very important royal guests could fly very important royal dogs."
It is not surprising that the queen might wish her beloved favorites to accompany her travels, as she is known for her deep affection for corgi dogs.
From a young age, Queen Elizabeth has been a lover of these four-legged creatures and has been rumored to have owned over 30 corgi since the coronation.
It is said that in 2007 she had five corgi: Monty, Emma, Linnet, Willow and Holly.
They were joined by five cocker spaniels: Bisto, Oxo, Flash, Spick and Span, as well as four dogs that are cross between the corgi dachshund: Cider, Berry Vulcan and Candy.
I'm sure the royal crew had their hands full.
An employee of the royal house was seen walking dogs and asking them to arrange their needs before taking them aboard the plane, says Shields.
I'm glad to say there's never been an incident.
The program also reveals a shocking number of baggage that the Queen takes with her on board during her travels as part of her duties.
Narrator of the film stated: "In 1953, the queen took 12 tons of luggage on her journey of 70,000 kilometers."
In order to be able to picture it better, it's about the same as two huge elephants.
But the queen isn't the only one with a taste for fashion.
It is said that Princess Cambridge also has her own preferences regarding the carriage of her wardrobe - it is said that a separate seat is intended for each of her dresses.
The new law shall enter into force.
In the event of accidents they will receive pensions
On Friday, a regulation will enter into force to ensure the continued payment of pensions to seriously injured persons - informs the Financial Ombudsman.
This is the Act of 9 July 2019 on the specific powers of persons injured in the event of exhaustion of the guarantee sum established on the basis of the provisions in force before 1 January 2006.
This applies to persons who were injured before 1 January 2006.
At that time, the guarantee amounts were significantly lower than they currently were, so in some cases insurers had already stopped paying their pensions.
"I am happy with this regulation, because our institution has been seeking for many years to create a mechanism that will ensure that the victims of accidents are guaranteed financial support from the travel insurance of the OC or the OC of the farmer despite the exhaustion of the guarantee sum," says Alexander Daszewski, legal adviser at the Ombudsman's office.
According to the Ombudsman, this was necessary because it is often a very tragic situation concerning people in very poor health who, due to the accident, cannot work, for example, and at the same time bear significant costs of post-accident rehabilitation treatment.
Some of them no longer received compensatory pensions and increased needs due to the need for further treatment or rehabilitation due to the exhaustion of so-called guarantee amounts on OC policies.
Part of it was threatened in the coming years.
By 1 January 2006, the liability limits of the insurer were significantly lower than the current one.
Therefore, the problem of exhaustion of the guarantee sum in previous years was mostly affected by people who suffered injury in the 1990s.
At that time, the guarantee amounts were very low and economic conditions resulted in an increase in prices.
"We have also noticed that this problem has also affected a number of mostly young people who have suffered damage at a time when the sum was €350,000 for each injured person.
Currently, it is EUR 5.21 million per event, regardless of the number of victims.
It is therefore a huge difference from earlier periods, hence the problem required the intervention of the legislator," reminds Alexander Daszewski.
It explains that, given that the guarantee amount has been temporarily increased, the legislator assumed that the upper limit of the liability of the Insurance Guarantee Fund would be the guarantee amount in force at the time when the claim for payment of the pension was made to the Fund.
This rule applies if the insurance undertaking is not obliged to pay the pension on the basis of a court decision setting a different amount of the guarantee amount than that laid down in the OC insurance contract.
This is the case in the event of an increase in the guarantee sum by judicial means pursuant to Article 3571 of the Civil Code, which allows for the modification of the existing commitment relationship.
"In recent days we have sent letters to those who in the past have asked us to intervene.
We inform about new powers and, of course, provide further support in the event of any problems" says Alexander Daszewski.

Brenda Barattini convicted for cutting off a boyfriend's penis
The case concerns the events of November 2017.
According to the Buenos Aires Times, that's when Brenda Barattini found out that her boyfriend showed his friends the sex tape that was made in their bedroom.
A 28-year-old who was an architect by education explained to the court that her partner had thus ruined her life and treated her like a "trophy" that could be boasted of in front of friends.
"He violated my intimacy, my life and my career.
He destroyed everything," she argued.
Córdoby's woman decided to bring justice to her own.
She invited her boyfriend, 42-year-old Sergio F. to bed and told him she had prepared a special surprise.
With a velvet band, she blindfolded him, then grabbed the shears and cut off his penis.
"I felt like I was gonna die.
I didn't see anything.
I tried to get up, pull up my pants and grabbed my cell phone to call 911, he testified to the victim.
"I wanted to leave, but she started insulting me.
She grabbed my shirt and my hair without letting me go," he added.
Although Barattini explained that her boyfriend hurt her with a sex tape, she didn't try to escape responsibility.
"I ask for justice," she said to the jury.
Eventually, she was found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Former Alabama Congressman Jack Edwards died at 91
On Friday a retired congressman of Alabama State died on behalf of the Republican Party Jack Edwards, who served for the 10th term and belonged to the first wave of Republicans from the so-called Deep South.
The family spokesperson said Edwards died in his home in Fairhope after fighting pancreatic cancer.
Edwards was originally elected to the American Congress in 1965 as one of the first Republicans from the state of Alabama in the Deep South because the party gained supporters here.
He served ten term in Congress.
According to a statement from the family in response to a recent question about what the world would like to leave to its great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Edwards replied that he would like a return of courtesy.
"I hope that my great-grandchildren and my great-grandchildren will grow up in a country where kindness will return to the common debate and efforts to solve the problems of the country," said Edwards, according to the family statement.
The governor of Alabama Kay Ivey said that Edwards served his state and country with the highest standards of honesty.
She added that in his honor, the flags on the Alabama State Capitol will be lowered to half the mast.
"He was the personification of a true civil servant and was the best statesman for Alabama.
Our state lost one of the most prominent politicians," said Ivey in her statement.
Michelle Obama calls Meghan Markle "inspiration" on Instagram
Michelle Obama expressed her high appreciation for Meghan Markle on Instagram on Thursday, calling Princess Sussex "a concerned leader who breaks the schematics and makes our world a better place."
Princess and Prince Harry, currently taking a ten-day royal journey to South Africa with their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, participated in a meeting with young people at the beginning of this week, during which they met with the leaders of the Obama Foundation.
"I would like to thank my friend, Her Majesty, Princess Sussex @sussexroyal, "a concerned leader who breaks the schematics and makes our world a better place," wrote the first lady in her enthusiastic post.
"Whether it's meeting with the leaders of the Obama @ObamaFoundation Foundation, or helping girls around the world to gain access to the education they deserve, it's an inspiration to many people," added Obama, putting a picture of the smiling Meghan posing with the leaders of the foundation.
Meghan interviewed Obama for the September release of British Vogue, guest editing by former actress of the "Suits" series.
In an honest conversation, the first lady talked about motherhood and how she changed it.
"To be a mother means to bring to the championship the art of letting go," Obama said.
"Motherhood has taught me that most of the time it's my job to give children space so that they can get to know the world and become what they want to be.
Not who I want them to be or who I wanted to be at their age, but who they are in their hearts.
Obama, who in her experience knows what the pressure of being on a candlestick is, shared her advice with the Duchess during an interview with Good Housekeeping magazine.
"The pressure you feel - imposed by yourself and by others - can sometimes overwhelm you," she said.
"My advice is therefore to slow down and not rush into anything.
The first few months at the White House, I spent most of my time worrying about my daughters, making sure they're doing well at school and making new friends before I went to more ambitious work.
I think we need that, too.
Hotel Trumpa retains the permit to sell alcohol despite a complaint about the owner's disposition
WASHINGTON (AP) - Alcoholic drink control committee in Washington D.C. dismissed the request to verify that the local Trump International Hotel should lose its license to sell alcohol because of its owner's disposition.
The agency ordered on Wednesday that the complaint of three pastors, two retired judges and two rabbis is unfounded because most of them do not live in the district or have property in it.
"The Washington Post" states that this is the second time these plaintiffs have tried to withdraw the hotel's alcohol sales permit by referring to a provision in force in the district that applicants for alcohol sales licences must show a "good disposition."
The original complaint filed last summer claimed that President Donald Trump was breaking the law, and that there were charges of assault and repeated cases of fraud.
The complaint was dismissed because the licence was granted before it was lodged.
The reason for the second complaint was the extension of the authorisation.
"The Sun": Cleveland's report considers the scandalous police force in Cleveland to be the worst in the UK
Inspectors thought the police were the worst in the UK.
In a crushing report, they assessed the police work in Cleveland as inappropriate in all areas.
Phil Gormley of Her Majesty's Chief Police Inspector says there's been a "significant deterioration" in the Cleveland police force.
There have been new appeals calling for the disbandment of police services, headed by five chiefs over the last six years.
According to the report, the police did not try to prevent crime, arrest suspects, and protect the weakest.
Phil Gormley of Her Majesty's Chief Police Inspector said: "Since our last inspection, there has been a significant deterioration in standards."
Chief Mike Veale resigned in January after less than a year in the face of an investigation into "serious," albeit undisclosed, allegations of his conduct.
Deputy Chief Adrian Roberts was suspended after arrest on suspicion of gross misconduct.
Last year, Inspector Simon Hurwood presented himself to the commission of misdemeanors for preparing his coworker for sexual activities.
He's off duty.
Mayor Tees Valley Ben Houchen of the Tories said: "This is an official confirmation that these services are compromised.
The time has come for the Home Office department to intervene now."
Police Commissioner Richard Lewis said, "After making improvements, I take full responsibility for carrying out police forces through change."
We're visualizing the skatepark!
Will the young ones finally see it?
Older residents are disturbed by young enthusiasts riding scooters and skateboards, while you are complaining that there is no place for them in Oława.
For years, young people have been asked for a place to ride roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bikes.
The subject is still coming back to us.
We've been paying attention to this problem for 10 years.
It's been a little loud lately about the lack of skate park.
That's why we're going back to it again, and we're asking at the office what's next?
We would like to remind you that a few days ago, a woman was contacted who was disturbed by young people driving downtown.
"I write on behalf of the residents of the block at Piłsudskiego to be interested in the situation of the Oławska youth," writes Małgorzata.
"The block dwellers have called the City Guard many times in vain.
To prove such daily situations in the attachment I send photos."
We asked the others about it.
Most clearly state that young people simply have no place to drive in the city and have been in vain demanding a place for themselves for years.
There was even an avalanche of comments under the Facebook post.
Already in July we wrote that there was a chance for skatepark to be built on the Oławice Town.
The mayor informed us that the city had requested funding for the construction of the skate park.
"The project, together with the permits, is ready for consultation with young people.
On 28 March, a request was sent to the Ministry of Sports and Tourism for funding of the task entitled "Building of Skatepark in Oława" within the framework of the Sportowa Polska programme," which was told to us in the office.
Total value of the project: PLN 798 306.00.
Co-financing requested: PLN 263 440,00.
Now we've asked again what stage the case is at.
"We do not yet have information on the application for funding submitted to the Ministry of Sport and Tourism," reports Elżbieta Bednarczyk, head of the Faculty of European Funds at the University of Oława.
"From the information obtained from the staff of the Ministry, it appears that ultimately the selection of all tasks under the Sports Programme of Poland should take place in October."
We also asked for the visualization of the Oławski skatepark.
We present it below.
The young people informed the editorial board that the next Saturday (28 September) would be collecting signatures for a petition concerning the construction of a skatepark in Oława.
"The rebel youth saw the last post on Facebook and concluded that they would organize a fundraiser," writes Santa.
The signatures for the petition will be collected from 12:00 p.m. near Lidl's market.
Polish Cup 2019/20: draw 1/16 finals.
We know a couple, a hit from years ago.
It was one of the toughest competitions in the Extraclass.
The biggest legend has grown a memorable match from the 1996/1997 season.
On June 18, 1997, Legia took a team in the penultimate queue at the old stadium in Łazienkowska Łódź.
Both teams shared a point.
The hosts had to win, Widzew's second Polish Championship gave a point.
Up to 87 minutes the Legion led 2:0, but for five more minutes there was an earthquake - Widzew scored three goals and enjoyed the title.
Over the years, the Łódź club was in more and more trouble until it stopped counting in the championship fight and fell from the top class.
For the last time, both teams met at this level in the 2013/2014 season.
Legion - on the way to the title - took two victories - 5:1 at home and 1:0 at departure.
Back to the elite
Now the Łódź are fighting for their return to the national elite.
These plans were delayed by at least a year, because in previous games they were one of the favorites who failed to advance to the outback of the Extraclasses.
As a result of this failure in the summer, a staff revolution took place in the club.
The authorities changed, finally bet on coach Marcin Kaczmark, and in taking the next step up the club hierarchy are to help the trained in league battles Marcin Robak and Mateusz Możdżenia.
So far Widzew is the fourth in Table II of the league, but in the Polish Cup he defeated the vice-president of the Śląskie Wrocław 2:0 on Tuesday.
Legion in the same size played on the way out I'll let the Niepo3omice.
Extracurricular take-off
The only pair composed of representatives of the highest class in 1/16 finals are her ŁKS and Górnik Zabrze.
Matches of this phase will take place on 29-31 October.
This year, 1/8 of the finals (3-5 December) are scheduled to take place.
The final is due to take place on 2 May at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw.
Nancy Pelosi: William Barr "rebellioned" and the impeachment investigation must run its course
You never know where we're going.
Now, in my opinion, we are trying to hide the facts of the attempt to hide the facts, and the investigation may take time," said Pelosi in an interview for CNN on Capitol Hill.
"They will do the work they started, sticking to the facts and the time needed to find them," she added.
According to a protocol issued this week by the White House, Trump asked Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, the 2020 candidate, and his son.
Trump also asked Złenski to cooperate with Barr and his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, as the protocol shows.
Trump denied doing anything wrong.
On Thursday CNN reported that national security lawyers from the Department of Justice had notified the whistleblower's complaint concerning Trump's proceedings involving Ukraine more than a week before the formal notification.
After receiving a complaint as a complaint from the Intelligence Community officials, the Department of Justice stated that Trump's phone call did not provide a criminal investigation into the financing of the campaign.
When asked if Barr should testify, Pelosi said that Friday's Intelligence Committee would decide who to call as a witness.
However, she added that in her opinion Barr "rebellioned".
It's been going on for a long time.
"After all, (Barra) is mentioned in all this," added Pelosi, referring to the mention of Trump about his Attorney General during the July interview with the leader of Ukraine.
Interestingly, he made decisions on how to deal with the complaint.
Pelosi said that she was "very afraid" of the whistleblower informants Trump attacked on Thursday as spies, suggesting that in the past there was a different deal with spies.
I think the President's words go beyond irresponsible, it's dangerous.
Our whistleblowers play an important role in discovering - exposing misdemeanors in our government," said Pelosi, adding "The President's words concerning people who can deliver information to the public seriously undermine honesty in the government."
On Tuesday, Pelosi took the historic step of announcing a formal investigation into an illegal act based on allegations of trying to put pressure on the leader of a foreign country in order to obtain political benefits.
The telephone call was included in the complaint published on Thursday, in which the whistleblower claimed that Trump abused his power to "inspire Ukraine to intervene" during the upcoming elections 2020.
He also alleged that the White House lawyers had the officials remove the record of the conversation from the computer system in which it is stored for the purposes of the officials of the Council of Ministers and place it in a system dedicated to sensitive information.

Assailant Crystal Palace, 28, admitted to driving a Bentley car at 80 miles an hour in the area with a limit of 50 miles per hour on the A3 road in Richmond, southwest London on January 20th.
Then, in March, Photoradars in Putney in southwest London registered a Belgian driving at 89 miles per hour, which is twice the limit of 40 miles per hour.
Benteke of Kingston Hill of Surrey doesn't have to stand up this morning at the Lavender Hill Peace Court.

Ghana: Kofi Manu concerned about the structure of the Verification Commission
Kofi Manu, football manager and representative of Sekondi Hasaacas Club, raised doubts about the composition of the Verification Commission for the upcoming elections to the National Football Association in Ghana (GFA).
He challenged the inclusion of the President of the Commission, Frank Davies, adding that he was not satisfied with his participation.
In an interview with GNA Sport Manu expressed doubts as to whether the President of the Commission would be honest because the outcome of the verification process is in his interest.
The Verification Board should consist of neutral outsiders who have no ties with any of the members and who have not previously shown any interest.
For example, Davies hired the NC as a lawyer who wrote to Osei Kwaku Palmer for payment of 10 percent.
He is also a well-known supporter of the Olympic Games.
For these two reasons, he should not be allowed to take a position in the Verification Committee because he has an interest in this," he said.
Manu stated that if Fred Pappoe, the Director of the Olympic Games, appeared before the Commission, there would be a conflict of interest on the part of the President because of his association with the club, suggesting at the same time that if he were the subject of prejudice and bias before the Commission of the State of Palmer.
As expected, the members of the Commission were to start work from yesterday, after the ceremony at the GFA Secretariat in Accra on Tuesday, 19 September and end it on 4 October.
The President of the Commission is Frank Davies, and its members are the Corporate Governance Consultant and lawyer Marian Barnor and Mr Emmanuel Darkwah.
The other members include Reginald Laryea, Marketing and Business Director and Richard Akpokavie, Sports Administrator and lawyer.

Israel: There is no agreement on a government of unity
The two main parties of Israel, the Alliance of the Blue-White and Likud, continued negotiations on Friday on the establishment of a government of unity.
The meeting, which took place after the President had entrusted the mission to form the government to Benjamin Netanyahu, did not produce any results.
The discussions considered the possibility of rotating leadership of both parties in the government and remaining Netanyahu as Prime Minister, but - as the Israeli newspaper "Haarec" writes - there was no approximation of views.
The talks will resume on Sunday.
The central alliance of the Blue and Whites stated in the announcement that he had made initial demands.
He accuses the right-wing Likud of "drown himself in his positions," demanding that his leader and former Prime Minister, Netanyahu, remain at the head of the government and, in the cabinet's composition, former ultra-orthodox politicians.
"From the very beginning it was known that Blue and White would not agree to these terms," says the message published by them.
Likud, acting exclusively in the interest of Netanyahu, wants to "lead Israel to the second round of elections."
The leader of the Blue-White Benny Gantz refuses to support the government that Netanyah would run as long as he is charged with three corruption cases on the basis of which the prosecution could formally prosecute him after the Wednesday meeting.
"Lykud and Blue and White have obtained enough in the elections on 17 September to allow them to rule together as natural allies, but it forces them to negotiate which none of the parties wanted," writes the EFE agency.
President Reuwen Rivlin has tried to bring their positions closer in recent days and has proposed the establishment of a 'rotating government', suggesting that the Prime Minister temporarily suspend his duties, which would allow Gantz to take this position if the accusations against Netanyahu were maintained and formalised.
There's no shortage of Israeli analysts who think things are stuck in a dead end.
However, half of Israelis, according to a poll published by public television on Friday, want to unlock the political situation in the country by establishing a government of unity under the rotational leadership of Netanyahu and Gantz.
50.6 per cent of Israelis, 32.1 per cent of those surveyed oppose this solution.
The survey shows a deep division in Israeli society - who should be the first to lead the cabinet, 41.8% of respondents are in favour of Netanyahu and 40% are in favour of Gantz.
In another survey published by the newspaper "Israel Hajom," the percentage of supporters of the government of unity increases to 63%, 60% are opposed to new choices that would be third this year.
In the early parliamentary elections on 17 September he won the Gantz alliance, winning 33 seats in the 120-seat Kneset, Likud Netanyahu won 32 seats.
Netanjahu and his traditional and potential allies can count on the support of 55 Members, while Gantz on 54.
None of the parties collected the 61 seats necessary to obtain the majority.
Tipuric calls for a fight before the final match with the Australians
Justin Tipuric says that "it's time to check out" when Wales faces a final match with Australia as part of the World Cup, which can shape their fate in the tournament.
The victory of Wales over "kangaroos" would put this team in the position of a certain favorite to win Group D and guarantee a participation in the likely quarter-final meeting with France or Argentina.
However, if Australia defeats Wales for the 14th time in the last 15 meetings, Tipuric and his team will be immediately sent back to start with England in one eighth of the finals.
"Let's be clear, both teams want to try to get through this and be at the head of the group," said the Welsh raider Tipuric.
There have been some difficult results in the past, but last autumn it was nice to win with them (Australia).
I think they will eagerly try to take this victory away from us, and we want to take it back.
By the time we got here, you knew this was gonna be a big start.
And now we're here, and it's really time to prove ourselves.
Wales won only one victory over Australia, New Zealand or South Africa in the history of the World Cup - and this took place 32 years ago in a third-place game when they defeated the "kangaroos."
And their total record led by Chief Coach Warren Gatland shows only seven victories in 41 attempts to defeat three heavyweight teams from the southern hemisphere.
Wales stopped a series of 13 lost test matches from Australia in November last year, and Tipuric prepared to be among the few survivors of this 9-6 win who will run to the stadium in Tokyo on Sunday.
Tipuric asked if the team had experienced a mental blockade before this victory, added: "It's hard to say.
These games are so leveled up that maybe... people expect to have some kind of mental blockage, I don't know.
In the end, in the last game we probably left about 15 points on the field, so the final result looks a lot smaller than it actually was.
If Wales triumphs, then the fight of Tipuric against the adored Australian duo from the third line of the mill Michael Hooper and David Pocock during the arrest and fall will be essential.
Tipuric played 67 matches in the tournament and met with both players on several previous occasions, so he knows exactly what awaits him.
"They are players playing in the position of the seventh absolutely world class," he said.
When you play against the world-class players of the third line of the mill, you always know that a difficult game will be played.
These two are constantly performing with the best players in the world.
You know what kind of game you're looking for.
Pocock is one of the best players in the world playing defensively, and Michael is a more attacking seven and probably feels better rugby because he's always in the right place at the right time.
It is better to play against the best players in the world and challenge yourself than to face the third line of a mill that is not so good.
It is worth playing against the best, and struggling with these two, you certainly need to be in top form.
I wouldn't say that Sunday will almost be the final of the Cup, but for us, it's an important game in this World Cup.
The momentum is an important part of it.
When we build our strength and constantly make great efforts, we will fly like wings and it will be hard to beat us.

Book premiere.
"Waffen-SS" Jochen Boehler, Robert Gerwarth, Jacek Młynarczyk
They were supposed to be an elite organization of gentlemen's races.
They took their ranks with those they despised.
Could a crime link more than a national identity?
We do not give you another book on war or military issues.
We give a deep international study on the participation of non-Germans in the Waffen-SS.
Historians from different European countries analyse the attitudes and motivations of volunteers, remind them of their activities and look at recruitment processes at different stages of the war.
Were the Danish branches different from the French ones?
Where did Ukrainian enthusiasm come from?
Why was it not possible to create a branch made up of Poles themselves?
What is the official historical narrative of collaboration in the various European countries today?
What happened to the volunteers after the war?
Among other things, the book "Waffen-SS" answers these questions based on solid research material.
We sought to present a subtler and more balanced, more accurate picture of collaboration in Europe during World War II, also trying to break the methodological boundaries of history and a given period of history through the presentation of hearings by researchers from different countries. (...) While the fate of the main victims of this war - forced workers, Jews, prisoners, political opponents of Nazi Germany, the Slavic population - are sometimes presented in comparative and/or transnational terms, the perpetrators are examined essentially from a national perspective (as far as this is done).
"Total panic" when the White House struggles to find arguments about impeachment
Officials from the White House struggle to figure out how to resist the impeachment again on Thursday, and one of the people familiar with the situation describes the sense of "total panic" felt last week because of the lack of a plan to respond to a new reality.
This seems to increase "anxiety, uncertainty and fear" - one of the people associated with the White House describes the mood in the West Wing - that the allegations of an informant can seriously harm the President and the people around him.
The person said, "There is little certainty that there is nothing hidden there."
The White House officials were still insecure about how to proceed, not only because there is no obvious plan of action in such a situation, but also because the allegations are serious enough that the standard methods of effective avoidance of controversy used by the President in the past may not work. "This does not look like something that will pass away with the appearance of the next series of news headlines" - this person joked.
Another person who knew the course of the discussion described the atmosphere in the White House as "a state of shock" accompanied by increasing distrust that, along with the lengthy impeachment investigation, the possibility of the president responding irresponsiblely and becoming "hard to control."
This fear is shared by another interlocutor claiming that people around the President expect him to display more "quiet" behaviour, and that the pressure exerted on him will certainly begin to increase with every day of the impeachment investigation.
This raises concern that Trump can present increasingly unpredictable behaviour and explode in an unexpected way - this is in the context of the election year fear both from the point of view of the presidency and the elections.
Faced with the greatest threat in the presidency so far, Trump was circling from attack to defense, again reaching to the strategy he considered effective during Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia.
He tried to ignore his request to the Ukrainian President for help in investigating his political rivals in order to distract and direct him to the actions of democrats and Democrats candidate Joe Biden and discredit the informant as motivated by party motives.
But while many people in the White House are trained to fight after Mueller's investigation, this time something has changed," said the advisors and consultants.
The president, whose hallmark is strength, the Wednesday press conference showed as defeated - said one of the people familiar with the situation.
While Trump enthusiastically accepted questions about the Russian investigation, he did not seem to want to answer questions about Ukraine - they said.
Some of the president's allies believe that damage can be avoided, and some of them stick to the fact that the informant had no first-hand knowledge of the controversial telephone conversation between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski - which, according to them, undermines his credibility.
And as often happens when the president is the object of the attacks, this fact is raised lively by his main supporters in his defense.
But one of the Republican strategists associated with the White House indicates that the results of the presidential support polls are extremely high, and impeachment will not have much impact on the acquisition of new sympathizers.
"There is no positive impact in the need to focus on the President's impeachment in the next four months," especially if this makes his legislative programme more difficult and dominant in the new news headlines cycle.
Another caller claims that those who held that impeachment would help the president did not fully understand how unpredictable his response would be.
The worried White House officials were looking for help with their advisors, putting together a response team to the impeachment.
According to the person with knowledge of the plans, taking into account that these efforts are at an early stage, it remains unclear whether any initiative in the style of the command centre will be taken and what form it can take.
This person stated that there was a belief that a coordinated legal and communication strategy was required with a strong leader able to carry out a PR attack that was a reaction to the publication of a virulent report by the whistleblower and aimed at halting the momentum of democrats' actions on the impeachment given by the disclosure of this report.
The speaker familiar with the situation claims that the lack of a long-term strategic vision was clear when the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the Treasure Secretary Steve Mnuchin declared that they were not going to reveal the memo describing Trump's conversation with the Ukrainian President, and then 48 hours later you could feel that there was no way out and you had to publish the document.
It is now expected that pressure will be greater than in the course of Robert Mueller's investigation, which mostly kept silent and spoke only through accusations. One of the people who might be involved in the development of the response to impeachment is Corey Lewandowski, the man from Trump's dirty work and the former Chief of Election Staff - said the person connected with the case.
However, Lewandowski said in his interview with NBC News that it is not true to suggest that he will direct this action.
"For the last five years, I have done everything I can to support the President and his programme," he said, "but I have not been involved in any conversations with the President or his team about joining the team to resist the false narrative of impeachment."
Donald Trump's private attorney in the Mueller investigation, Jay Sekulow, is also involved in impeachment activities.
"We respond to the right things," Sekulow replied when he was asked by NBC News to comment.
Currently, the White House feels the lack of a lawyer experienced in impeachment after Emmet Flood, who worked on Clinton's impeachment and advised the White House at the end of Mueller's investigation, left, and the current advisor, Pat Cipolone, has no such experience.
A talker familiar with the White House's strategy stated that in general, officials were not planning to involve people at any time or create a command centre, but admitted that a coordinated, joint response was needed and that a person could fight politically.

Devin Nunes accuses Democrats of demanding "nude pictures of Trump"
Congressman Devin Nunes from the state of California obviously can't stand the naked truth that President Donald Trump is under investigation.
In his Thursday defense, he accused the Democrats of getting naked photos of the president.
Nunes, a high-ranking Republican sitting in the House of Representatives Intelligence Commission, made this allegation during the preliminary statement during the hearing following a complaint from the whistleblower that Trump had asked Ukraine to assist in the initiation of an investigation into the Democratic candidate for President Joe Biden and his son.
The congressman called the Ukrainian scandal "a grotesque spectacle" of the left and their "median ace" before he said that the Democrats wanted to see the president's photos in negligee.
"Democratic in this committee negotiated with people who they thought were Ukrainians to receive naked photos of Trump," said Nunes.
"People can rightly ask why Democrats are so determined to press charges against the president when they have their chance next year.
When Nunes finished giving reprimands, the political reporter on the HuffPost site, Jennifer Bendery, decided to see if the Democrats were really trying to find out.
So far, only Connecticut, Jim Himes, has responded, although we suspect that his answer is a naked truth, confirming the thoughts of many of his colleagues.
The Mediaite.com site suspects that Nunes' comments on nudity were referring to "some more lucid and unconfirmed information" that probably appear in the controversial Steele files,
This is an infamous, former British spy Christopher Steele's collection of charges against Trump, indicating the probability of a tape showing him peeing a prostitute in a hotel room in Moscow.
Potential research on renewable biofuels can help reduce emissions
While electric cars and Semi Tesla have dominated information services in recent years, one issue seems to be eluded by renewable energy - aircraft.
However, a professor at Albert University has developed a technology that will allow renewable biofuels to be used as aviation fuel.
Dr. David Bressler is a professor at Albert's University at the Faculty of Agriculture, Life Sciences and the Environment, which started working on this project in 2003.
His laboratory develops hydrocarbon fuel obtained from fatty waste such as restaurant fat, animal fats and rape oil.
Unlike ethanol and other biofuels, this technology can use lower quality oils during production, with an estimated 85% lower carbon emissions than for petroleum fuels, and use waste from other industries in the process.
This technology is designed to imitate hydrocarbons present in petroleum fuels.
"What our technology has done in the first generation," said Bressler - is [totally creating] hydrocarbons, which are identical molecules as in diesel fuel."
While this opens up a new opportunity to use biofuels, previously developed biofuel products were characterised by a tendency to destabilise at lower temperatures, which was a serious threat to aircraft flying at high altitudes.
"The problem with aviation fuel is a bit of a vicious circle," said Bressler.
It's actually less valuable than diesel, but it's got higher requirements.
Bressler's laboratory is currently looking at two options for producing aviation biofuels.
The first option is a low-risk approach that requires additional treatment of hydrocarbon biofuels and addition of hydrogen.
The second option is to continue to work on partially developed chemical properties that will provide fuel stability, even at low temperatures.
"We can experiment with chemical properties in our reactor to try to change them a bit," said Bressler, commenting on the second option.
This option is more risky.
The company set up by the University of Alberta, Forge Hydrocarbons, is working on commercialization of the product, as airlines, as well as the Canadian and American armies increase investment in the renewable option.
"They are able to imagine the times in which a reversal may take place and will be imposed on them a carbon tax," he said.
Instead, they want an alternative that will be a contingency plan.
Currently, Forge operates a pilot plant near the waste management center in Edmonton and recently received a sum of $4 million from Lockheed Martin as part of an investment to support a $25 million manufacturing plant that will be located in Sombra, Ontario.
The plant is expected to produce approximately 19 million litres of biofuel per year.
Bressler also notes that the expected reduction in coal will amount to approximately 85 percent, but issues such as transport and fuel production prevent further reduction of coal.
"As a technology specialist," Bressler said -
I have the task of developing options that allow informed decisions and many choices."
DANGER: Another granddaughter fraud
8,000 zlotys and 750 euros lost a Zamość woman thinking that she was helping her grandson who caused the accident.
The police informed about the incident on Thursday the son of a cheated benefactor.
"The woman was called on Wednesday by a man claiming to be her grandson.
He told me he caused the accident and needed money.
Otherwise, he's going to jail.
In order to help her grandson she transferred 8 thousand PLN and 750 euros to a false policeman who came to her home" reports asp. Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło from Zamość police.
Cops are looking for a culprit, and once again they're calling for caution:
"Each call requesting financial assistance must be verified.
Do not act under the influence of emotion and in haste.
Remember, cops don't ask for money and they don't take money.
If we receive a call asking for financial support that raises our suspicions, we should respond immediately and notify the police by calling 911.
We also appeal to younger family members.
Let's talk to our seniors about threats, let's tell them how cheaters work.
Please be careful not to trust the people who call and ask for a loan."
Prime Minister Boris Johnson's allies warn that if the brixit of Britain is withdrawn, there are people like Los Angeles, and he calls for peace.
One of the chief cabinet ministers said last night that the country is threatened by a "violent social break" if the original result is questioned by the outcome of the second referendum.
The British Prime Minister's allies from his immediate surroundings warned that the country was threatened with social unrest on the scale of the protests of the "yellow vests" in France due to social inequalities and riots in Los Angeles in 1992.
Johnson called for a "mellow mood" during a turbulent argument about the language of politics, but stressed that he did not stop using the word "surrender."
Despite his call for peace, the cabinet minister said "The Times": "In this country there have never been protests such as demonstrations of "gulets jaunes" or riots in Los Angeles in 1992.
People think it's impossible just because it didn't happen before.
Now they have an example - gulets jaunes - they use encrypted phones, through which they can coordinate pickets, and to push people into protest just a few unkind populist leaders.
The riots in Los Angeles erupted after the jury acquitted four white policemen who beat up black taxi driver Rodney King in 1992.
This year anti-government protesters in France wearing yellow reflective vests - gilet jaunes - have been emptying and devastateing the streets of Paris for more than six weeks.
The Minister referred to Johnson's warning in the House of Commons and said that if Britain fails to get out of the EU, there will be "a catastrophic loss of confidence in our political system."
"If we organise a referendum with 30 million people voting and 66% of them vote for the UK to remain in the European Union, ten million citizens will remain unhappy," said the Minister.
Even if such a result ignores 99% of them, we will still have 100,000 angry people who will write to their messenger and who will not forgive.
It doesn't take a lot to see tens of thousands of people on the street soon.
One of the chief cabinet ministers added that the country is threatened by a "violent social break" if the outcome of the first referendum is questioned by the result of the second.
Johnson called for a general election in which voters would decide on the fate of Brexit.
According to reports, the Prime Minister is facing the risk of mutiny in an office wishing to reduce demands in connection with the Brexit and to reach a compromise agreement with the EU.
Holovnia, Czubówna and Krosny delighted in Kraków.
Behind us is Talk'N"Roll
More than 300 participants listened on Thursday (26 September) to 11 inspiring speakers, among them Simon Hołownia, Krystyna Czubówna or Ireneusz Krosny.
This is all within the conference Talk'N'Roll, which took place in Krakow for the fifth time.
Talk'N'roll 2019
Expanding horizons, talking about ideas worthy of publicity, and sharing discussions that can become an impulse for further development.
This was the aim of the conference organizers Talk'N'Roll, inviting 11 outstanding speakers to the stage, representing very diverse industries and areas of interest, including people known from the media - Simon Holovnia, Krystyna Czubówna and Ireneus Krosny.
The theme of this year's edition of Talk'N'Roll was "Crafting the future, NOW," and it was about creating the future that guests invited to participate in the conference.
The first session was opened by the Managing Director of Sabre Poland, Sebastian Drzewiecki, who talked about how the brand that is being built around itself can affect our future.
Richard Lucas went out on stage to change the audience's perception of the phenomenon of rejection, claiming that they should be accepted if the future is to be created, while Chris Badura took on the subject of empathy in a time of rapid technological development.
Paula Mascarenhas (VP Sabre) has shared insights and techniques that can help manage careers and enhance overall satisfaction by finding the right balance between work and private life.
The second part of the conference opened a multifaceted conversation with Krystyna Czubówna, which explained, among other things, how the profession of teacher in Poland changed from her perspective over the years.
The owner of one of the most popular voices in the country admitted that - thanks to the development of technology - today everyone can work with this profession.
However, he does not think that in the coming years a person in the position of a speaker is completely replaced by technology.
After that, Piotr Nabielec took up the problem of life in times of informational, emotional, or over-choice in terms of choice, giving the audience valuable tips on how to deal with it, and Łukasz Łętocha spoke about what another industrial revolution, known as "Industry 4.0," could lead to.
♪ Playing to teach ♪ ♪ Teaching to play ♪
The conference organizers also took care of artistic impressions, inviting an illusionist, Daniel Dziełak, to the stage.
The third part of the conference was opened by Ireneusz Krosny, who first played with pantonyms and then - on the example of his own career - talked about how he was trying to maintain the right balance between his career on stage and his private life.
The participants were also kidnapped by Simon Hołownia, emphasising the role of time in our lives.
The publicist pointed out that even two minutes can radically change the situation and you need to be ready to use this time.
In addition, the Holovnia shared his thoughts on the reality surrounding us, recalling anecdotes that could make the audience smile.
Then Adrian Tworuszka appeared on the stage, who reviewed the history and objectives of several innovation models and referred them to how they are being used today.
At the end, Marcin Słowiak, on the example of Rubik's ankle, talked about the approach to solving problems.
Each of the 11 speakers certainly brought something new in viewing the reality of all those who had the opportunity to watch the performances, and the natural reactions and numerous questions to the guests testify to a great commitment from the audience.
The organizers provided broadcasts for all those who were personally unable to participate in the event, and the recordings from the lecture are available on the website.
Rule of law instead of rule of law.
"Despite the lack of enough votes to change the Constitution, the ruling majority has introduced a number of changes in the state system, creating threats to the protection of the rule of law and the principle of three divisions of power," writes the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, published on Thursday.
The report "The rule of law instead of the rule of law" documents, among other things, changes in the justice system and in the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms.
The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (HFPC) published a report on Thursday entitled "The rule of law instead of the rule of law.
Threats to protect human rights in Poland in 2015-2019"
The Foundation estimates in the report that in the years 2015-2019 there was the greatest regression in the field of human rights protection in Poland after 1989.
"Despite the lack of enough votes to amend the Constitution, the ruling majority has made a number of changes to the state system, creating threats to the protection of the rule of law and the principle of a three-fold division of power.
By adapting the law to political objectives, the rule of law has been replaced by rule of law," writes HFPC experts.
What's in the HFPC report?
The report documents changes in the functioning of justice, independent institutions (such as the public media or the Ombudsman) and in the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms (including freedom of assembly, women's rights, LGBT rights and the right to a fair trial).
The report also summarises the three-year dispute between the Polish authorities and the European Union.
"In the last four years, for the first time and on such a scale, we have observed the use of the right to pursue specific party interests.
This translated into an ongoing crisis of the rule of law, as well as a weakening of the entire system of human rights protection in Poland," stressed attorney Marcin Wolny, one of the authors of the report.
Protection of human rights
As indicated in the report, the last four years have been "a period of systemic changes both in the country" and "in the field of human rights protection."
Over the last four years, the Sejm has adopted more than 20 key acts for the protection of human rights.
"The changes were often adopted at a rapid pace, without public consultation and despite the reservations of the legal community, the Ombudsman or international organisations," explained attorney Margaret Szulek, co-author of the report.
According to the report, the main trends observed over the last four years are 'weakening independent institutions (including courts and prosecutors' offices), failing to comply with binding judgments and recommendations of international institutions and weakening human rights safeguards'.
State authorities did not respond
The Helsinki Human Affairs Foundation considered it particularly worrying that "these situations in which the authorities of the state did not respond or simply ignored emerging cases of aggression."
Foundation experts have noted that some changes have been made in the atmosphere of attacks on individual institutions or professional groups or groups exposed to discrimination.
The Foundation points out that the result of the State's activity in the field of rule of law limitation is an ongoing dispute between the Polish authorities and the European Union, as well as a number of recommendations from entities governed by international law.
"The lack of implementation of these recommendations not only weakens Poland's position as the leader of democratic transitions in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, but also exposes the Polish state to liability for violations of European Union law or the European Convention on Human Rights," we read in the report.
Brother of the Pakistani social media star with life sentence for honor killing
Women's Rights Experts claim that justice is often difficult to investigate due to prolonged proceedings, the release of suspected killers on bail and the blurring of public awareness.
"It's taking so long that people forget," says Farzana Bari, a defender of women's rights and founder of the first gender studies department in Pakistan at the university, and adds that even the wide-ranging case of Baloch's murder has been settled for over three years.
Although reliable data are difficult to establish according to women's rights groups, the Pakistani Human Rights Commission in 2018 reported at least 300 cases of so-called honorary killings.
Many activists claim that the actual number is much higher, and a network promoting awareness of the crimes of honor motive estimates that Pakistan has about one fifth of the 5000 honor killings committed annually worldwide.
Record earnings of Poles abroad
However, transfers to the country are decreasing, because many emigrants settle outside Poland permanently - says Friday "Rzeczpospolita."
According to the latest Euro-Tax report, average wages of Poles working in other European countries amounted to more than PLN 8,6 thousand in 2018, which means that they increased by almost PLN 1 000, or almost 12%.
Euro-Tax " estimates that the total income of Polish economic migrants in the countries of the Union reached a record value of PLN 154.5 billion in 2018, one seventh more than one year before," we read.
Director of the Centre for Migration Research at the University of Warsaw, Paweł Kaczmarczyk says that Poles are doing better in the international labour market, where they use various available options.
"There are also a growing number of specialists and professionals who, in search of better conditions, move from country to country, as well as employees of international corporations," reports the newspaper.
Some Euro-Tax customers work in two countries throughout the year, e.g. the UK and Germany.
"It is in Germany in 2018 most, because by 11%, the total earnings of Polish immigrants increased (to nearly PLN 27 billion).
However, the Poles in the Islands made the most money - almost 35 billion PLN," we read further.
The President of Euro-Tax believes that despite improving working conditions on the Polish market, the number of economic migrants is not decreasing.
This is because still Saksy in the West and North of Europe (leading Norway) is often a chance for several times higher wages than in Poland.
"Even at minimum rates in a given country, which, for example, in Germany is EUR 9,5-1,7 per hour," reports the journal.
"Rzeczpospolita" says that Poles stay not only because of higher wages, but also because they settled abroad.
Many Poles grow roots abroad, which can also be seen after decreasing transfers of money to the country.
These last year were the lowest in years.
As the economist Tadeusz Chrościcki recalls, with the extension of the stay abroad, a group of people transferring money to the country is decreasing and their amount is decreasing.
"Emigrants bring their loved ones together," says Rzeczpospolita on Friday.
Long-term monsoons cause floods and chaos in many regions of India
The monsoon season in India has been extended for almost a month, and unprecedented rainfall causes death as a result of the landslide of buildings and the decay of many crops.
Usually in northern India the monsoon subsides at the beginning of September, but the average rainfall this month exceeded the norm by 37%.
According to experts from the Indian Meteorological Department, if this situation continues for the next few days, it will be at the latest the end of the monsoon for decades.
In many areas of the country, rainfall is still unprecedented - recently in Pune, in the western city of India, Wednesday and Thursday rains have led to the death of dozens of people and devastation due to the collapse of buildings.
There was a flood of houses, people were dragging through the streets in water to their knees, which normally only takes place during the monsoon apogee.
Large rainfall has also occurred in cities such as Calcutta, Lucknow and Hajdarabad.
Many homes were destroyed as a result of prolonged rains in the north state of Uttarakhand.
The Monsoon also began with delay.
In many areas, water was scarce, so farmers were preparing for a likely drought.
The long-term monsoon is not welcome by farmers.
That amount of rain isn't normal at this time of year.
"Through him my vegetables - and now I have cabbage, beans, peas and tomatoes - will rot," says Prakash Mehra, a farmer from a small farm in Bhimtal, Uttarakhand.
For consumers, the impact of late and late ending monsoon means an increase in the price of onions, an essential ingredient of Indian food.
Onion, which usually had to be paid for 20 rupees (0.23 UK pound), currently costs 80 rupees (about 1 UK pound) per kilogram in cities such as Delhi and Mumbai.
Festivals and holidays are also at risk.
Another big festival is the celebration of Dasara on October 8th, during which Hindus erect huge dolls like from a comic book, depicting Ravana, a character with a lush mustache and a sinister smile from the epoch "Ramajana."
Smoking Ravana symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.
But given that Ravana's likenesses are made of paper, if the monsoon continues, Ravana will be the last to laugh.

Doodle celebrates Google's 21st birthday
It would be hard to imagine a world without Google today.
In the search engine we look for answers to all the questions that are bothering us.
What are we looking for on Google?
"What is this?", "Where?", "How?" and "How much?" are some of the favourite categories of Poles' search.
From the data of the giant it appears that last year we were happy to ask, among others, "Where is the storm?", "How to make asparagus?" and "How many fingers does the horse have?", "How to get rid of the fruit fly?", "How to eat the ducks?"
Today, the search engine celebrates its 20th birthday.
Its users - and as many as 96 percent of people in Poland use the "Google Uncle" - welcome today special Google Doodle.
He's not animated this time.
Google reminds us of its birthday, showing a desktop computer with a monitor, mouse and keyboard, and in the bottom right corner a digital date was printed - as in the picture from the 1990s.
Directory of information
The search engine was created for a specific purpose - it was supposed to catalog all possible information and share it with the internet.
Its name is a word game.
It comes from the mathematical term google, meaning the number ten raised to the hundredth power.
This name was also intended to reflect the company's intention to index as many pages as possible from the world's Internet resources.
Google's search engine was founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page in 1996 as part of their student project at Stanford University.
It was based on a mathematical analysis of the relationship between the parties, which worked better than the method of simple segregation of results based on the frequency of occurrence of a given phrase.
At the beginning, the search engine was called BlackRub, referring to the English word blacklink, which means the number of pages linking to a given result.
Page and Brin founded a company operating under Google Inc. on September 7, 1998, and soon thereafter they launched the famous Google.com website today.
What's next, Google?
In December 1998, in "PC Magazine" there is information about the extremely high accuracy of Google's search results.
Then the history of the company looks almost like a fairy tale - rapid development with every month, conquest of successive markets and increasing the value of the company.
As early as June 2000, Google's URL index has over a billion items, making Page and Brin's work the world's largest search engine.
Currently, the company founded by Page and Brin is one of the leading players in the IT market.
So is there any other field for development?
"Google's mission is to organize global information resources to be widely available and useful, even though we have made great progress in this field, we still have a very long way to reach this goal," Piotr Zalewski from Google Poland provided in a conversation with "Newsweek."
Frequent contact with pesticides may increase the risk of heart disease and stroke
The new study suggests that working at high concentrations with exposure to plant protection products can lead to a high risk of heart problems in later years of life.
This was the case with a group of Japanese Americans in Hawaii who had been studied for over 30 years.
Scientists have found that compared to men who did not work with plant protection products, those who had the greatest contact with them were 45% more likely to have heart disease or stroke.
"This study highlights the need to use personal protective equipment for the time of contact with pesticides at work and the importance of recording in medical records of contact with such agents at work, as well as controlling standard factors that increase heart disease," said research co-author Dr. Beatriz Rodriguez.
She is a professor of geriatric medicine at the University of Hawaii in Manoa.
The results were based on data on more than 6000 men on the island of Oahu who took part in the Kuakini Honolulu cardiac programme.
As noted by scientists, the results of the study may not apply to women and other populations, as it only concerned men of Japanese origin.
Pesticides have a long half-life, so the effects on their health can be known many years after contact with these substances.
In this case, the most visible results were observed within 10 years after contact with plant protection products.
In a press release, Rodriguez stated: "after 34 years of observation by men, the relationship between pesticide exposure and heart disease and stroke was no longer significant."
This was probably because more important factors related to aging were becoming, which masked possible causal relations between exposure to pesticides and the incidence of cardiovascular disease in later years of life.
Researchers have not discovered a significant relationship between exposure to small to moderate amounts of plant protection products and an increased risk of heart disease or stroke.
Złenski-Trump phone call: Poroszenko adds three cents
Washington's politics has had a turbulent week following the impeachment procedure against American President Donald Trump.
Getting caught up in a political scandal is for political debut Volodymyr Złenski, a situation he would rather avoid.
But what do we really know about the Złenski-Trump affair and will it have far-reaching consequences for the first one?
Almost at the beginning of the phone call Trump told Złenski that the United States was doing more for Ukraine than European countries.
Despite the fact that the notes revealed by the White House are not complete, they describe Trump's attack on German Chancellor Angela Merkel in detail for the fact that the German leader and other leaders of European countries are engaged in negotiations rather than making concrete proposals.
Złenski's reply was controversial, which said that he agreed with Trump not 100%, but 1000%.
Złenski added that both French President Macron and Merkel are insufficient to help Ukraine.
This exchange of views led politicians, especially the Ukrainian opposition, to decide to speak through social networks.
Petro Poroszenko, former President of Ukraine, stated on Twitter that EU support "was unprecedented."
In other tweets, Poroszenko said that he was grateful for the EU's support during "Russian aggression," which included sanctions and financial assistance.
Others expressed their concerns, including the Ukrainian politician Victoria Voytsitska said: "How can we talk to Germany and France now?"
Trump then referred to military assistance and asked Złenski to investigate not one and two cases: the first concerning Joe Biden's son Hunter - and the second relating to hacking into the DNC server, suggesting that Ukraine was involved in a hacker attack on Democratic mailboxes during the 2016 elections.
It is not known whether this will spoil European relations or break relations with the leader of France and Germany.
I don't want to speak ill of anyone...
We thank all those helping us" - he said after the publication of the Zelenski telephone call in New York during the UN General Assembly.
Złenski is to meet the leaders of Russia, Germany and France at the upcoming summit of the "four Normandy" which is due to take place in October.
Former Voivodship Inspector legally acquitted
The court cleared Jerzy Wiśniewski of his alleged actions.
After six years, Jerzy Wiśniewski was finally cleared of charges.
The District Court in Przemyśl cleared Jerzy Wiśniewski, former head of the Voivodship Provincial of Commercial Quality of Agricultural and Food Articles in Rzeszów, from the charge of exceeding the rights.
The Lublin Public Prosecutor's Office accused him of giving the Marshal of the province the date of inspection at a food oil plant.
Recently, a final acquittal was pronounced in this case.
The appeal was recognized on 12 September.
"The court maintained the acquittal sentence under appeal," confirmed Judge Małgorzata Reizer, spokesperson of the District Court in Przemyśl.
It is the judgment of 14 February this year handed down by the District Court of Przemyśl.
Jerzy Wiśniewski commented on Facebook at the time: "It has been six years since the Public Prosecutor's Office in Lublin presented me with the alleged violation of the law in a telephone call with Marshal of Podkarpackie Voivodeship on 30 April 2012.
The court has made it clear that I am innocent and that I did not break the law in force at the time.
I was convinced that my telephone conversation with the Marshal of Podkarpackie Voivodeship was in accordance with the applicable law.
The version of the events that the media outlined in 2013 by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Appeal in Lublin was missing the truth and caused irreversible damage to both the food manufacturer's entrepreneur and the loss of the image of my person in my employers, among employees and in the local community.
The indictment that was made against me in the Court's opinion contained a number of errors, false facts, inaccurate terms of legal basis, not confirmed in reality events.
With the help of CBA in Rzeszów, everything was done to eliminate me from public and professional life.
Then I was immediately fired from work and deprived of funds.
I stayed for a long time to support my wife."
Let's go over it.
Jerzy Wiśniewski served as a voivodship inspector for the commercial quality of agri-food products between 2009 and 2013.
He was dismissed after the prosecution in Lublin filed charges in 2013.
According to the investigators, he had in a telephone conversation to betray to the then Marshal of the province (Mirosław Karapyta was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment) the term of control in the plant producing food oil belonging to the wife of the then Deputy Marshal of Podkarpackie.
This warning - as the prosecutors in Lublin claimed - was intended to make the owner of the company know about the control and correct the labels on the oils that were incomplete.
Jerzy Wiśniewski heard charges of exceeding his authority, for which he was threatened with imprisonment for up to 3 years.
"I am relieved that this case has finally come to an end and the court has confirmed my innocence.
From the beginning I was convinced that I had done nothing wrong, which is now the final confirmation of which is the final sentence absolving me of the charges against me," comments Jerzy Wiśniewski.
The White House tried to hide a record of a conversation with Zelenski
In a report made available on Thursday, the whistleblower wrote that President Donald Trump, speaking with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski, sought the interference of a foreign country in the U.S. elections, and the White House tried to hide the record of this conversation.
Presidents of Ukraine and the USA
In an anonymous report dated 12 August, the whistleblower, who is believed to be an intelligence officer, wrote: "As part of my duties, I have been informed by many members of the American government that the President has used his function to demand the intervention of a foreign country in the elections in 2020 in the United States."
"Trump used part of the conversation (with Złenski) to pursue his own interests.
To be precise - he tried to pressure the Ukrainian leader to take steps that would help the president to re-election in 2020," reports the report, quoted by the newspaper "The Hill."
Ukrainian leader was "understood" that contacts with Trump depend on whether he "will show the will to play" in matters that President Rudy Giuliani's lawyer was to inform him more precisely.
The author admits that he did not witness the conversation, but emphasizes that he was informed in detail about its content by "many White House officials who had direct information about it" and their relations overlaped.
"In the following days after this conversation I learned from many American officials that high-ranking representatives of the White House intervened to "block" all the archival records concerning this conversation, and especially the literal record that was written, as is usually done, in the White House crisis room," we read further.
"High-ranking White House officials have told me that White House lawyers have "ordered them" to remove electronic records from the computer system in which such records are stored.
The record has been transferred to a separate electronic system, which is usually used to store and manipulate sensitive information" wrote the author of the report.
"In my view, these steps show that the White House officials were aware of the importance of what happened during the conversation," said the whistleblower.
According to the AP agency, this document will probably speed up proceedings on the president's possible impeachment, and it also contains valuable information about witnesses who can confirm this report.
Recording of a conversation with the Zelenskie White House, after the pressure of Congress, made it available on Wednesday, but not on the basis of electronic recording, but on the basis of the relations of people who witnessed it.
The content of the report, in the edited version, revealed a day later the Board of Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
On Thursday, as director of American intelligence, Joseph Maguire testified before the Chamber of Representatives' Intelligence Commission and explained how he dealt with the report of an intelligence officer.
Maguire said that the signaler made the right choice and did what the law says.
He also emphasized that in his opinion the matter of talking with Złenski is an event "without precedent."
The Democrats in the intelligence committee asked Maguire why he blocked the release of the report of the whistleblower to Congress; the director of intelligence replied that he had no authority to disclose its content, the confidentiality of which guarantees the so-called privilege of executive authority.
Part of Maguire's interrogation by the committee took place behind closed doors.
On Tuesday, Nancy Pelosi, President of the House of Representatives, announced that due to the suspicion that the President had put pressure on the Ukrainian authorities to harm his potential rival in the next presidential election, the House of Representatives is launching an investigation that could lead to Trump's impeachment.
A day later, she estimated that Trump's interview with Zelenski confirmed that the President of the United States had broken the electoral and security standards.
U.S. electoral law prohibits the use of foreign aid.
On Thursday, the White House spokesperson Stephanie Grisham said that there was nothing wrong in the conversation, and in the report "there is nothing more than a collection of third-hand relations and newspaper clippings glued together."
"The White House will continue to criticize this media hysteria and false narrative promoted by mainstream media," she added.
Ghana wins two ICAO awards
Ghana won two prestigious prizes at the 40th International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Assembly in Montreal, Canada.
The safety award was awarded in recognition that Ghana had achieved the highest number of aviation safety oversight points in Africa, i.e. 89.89 percent in terms of the temporary pace of effective implementation (EI).
This was the case when ICAO completed its control of the ICVM on 3 April 2019 in accordance with the United Nations Aviation Agency's Universal Security Audit Programme.
The security award was a proof of recognition of the country's high commitment to the implementation of ICAO's recommended standards and security protocols at the airports and in Ghana's airspace.
The award programme was designed to support an ICAO initiative called No Country Left Behind.
In addition, the ICAO Member States which have improved their safety and security standards have been awarded 16 other safety certificates and 17 in the field of security.
During the award ceremony for Ghana, the Minister of Aviation, Joseph Kofi Adda, General Director of the Civil Aviation Office of Ghana, Simon Allotey, Ambassador of Ghana in Canada, Nii Ayikoi Otoo and Managing Director of Ghana Airport Company Limited, Yaw Kwakwa.
The President of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, stressed in his speech the need for Member States to maintain safety in the air space.
He said "it is important that we keep reminding ourselves that even in the innovation era, aviation security and sustainable development must remain our primary priorities."
For his part, Mr Adda noted that the awards were a huge achievement for the efforts of the state, because they were a compliment to the hard work and perseverance of the industry.
He also added that the aviation industry has a huge potential for the development of the country's economy, saying: "Aviation has a powerful opportunity to change our lives.
These are socio-economic benefits, but everything comes from the safety and security that we have achieved."

Trump nominates Peter Gaynor as head of FEMA: The White House
Peter Gaynor, who is the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), smiles when he is testifying at the Senate Committee on National Security on FEMA's budget proposal for the financial year 2020 at the Capitol Hill in Washington, Washington, USA on 3 April 2019.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House announced that on Thursday American President Donald Trump nominated Peter Gaynor as Head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Gaynor, the deputy administrator of FEMA, is the head of the agency that oversees the government's response to disasters such as hurricanes or forest fires.
The agency has been operating without an administrator approved by the U.S. Senate since March when Brock Long fired this position.
Long resigned after the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under FEMA stated that Long was misusing government vehicles to travel between Washington and his home in North Carolina.
Another candidate for this position, Jeffrey Byard, was withdrawn earlier this month when a thorough examination of his past revealed charges that he was in a bar fight.
Gaynor's appointment was expected.
A majority of the Senate will be required to approve his nomination for this role.
The White House informed that before Gaynor became the deputy administrator of FEMA in 2018, he worked in crisis management in the state of Rhode Island and served in the Marine Corps.
Henrik Ingebrigtsen, Norwegian runner, is considering a finger amputation
The 28-year-old runner specialized in the distance of 1500 meters, winning the 2012 European Championship gold medal (Helsinki), silver in 2014 (Zurich) and brown in 2016 (Amsterdam).
He is also European Deputy Champion for 5000 meters from 2018 (Berlin).
He explained that this was not a new ailment and that he had already undergone one surgery immediately after the 2016 Games, but that the pain had returned and that this season had become much worse.
Pain makes me set foot differently, which in turn changes my body's system, there are other unnatural loads and I begin to feel pain in other places, such as my hip.
For this reason I could not prepare enough for the world championship, and for two weeks the pain has been so strong that I have difficulty putting on spikes," said the runner on the TV channel NRK.
The father and coach Gjert Ingebrigtsen admitted that after long discussions with their son, they concluded that the only solution not to end his career and participate in the next year's Olympic Games in Tokyo will be amputation.
It seems to be the only solution, although a drastic solution and a decision has already been made.
"If part of the body hurts, you should get rid of it, and in total Henrik doesn't need that finger so much and in this situation you should forget about the cosmetic aspect," he explained.
Police are closing an illegal e-cigarette factory with marijuana in the San Gabriel Valley - CBS Los Angeles
EL MONTE (CBSLA) - On Thursday, police closed an illegal e-cigarette factory with marijuana in the San Gabriel Valley.
An air raid was made on an office building on 9600 Telstar Avenue about 4:37 p.m., during which police searched for illegal cigarettes containing marijuana for sale and found large jars containing butane hash oil - cannabis concentrate.
According to Lieutenant Christopher Cano of the El Monte Police, officers also found a device that was used to supplement the contributions to vaping.
"This trial is very dangerous," says Cano.
Cano, who used to work on drugs, says that distillation of oil used in vaping products is a potentially flammable process.
"A simple electrostatic spark from our clothes can ignite these fumes, causing not only fire but also concentration, even explosion" - he says.
"If we have a lot of jars and stuff like that in the room, there will be another explosion after one explosion, causing not only a fire, but also an explosion that could wipe out the entire complex.
A special task force has been called into the office building to deal with illegal and potentially dangerous substances.
The value of confiscated products and equipment is currently unknown.
Detectives say they received an anonymous tip that allowed them to get a search warrant so they could detect illegal activity.
Investigators are still trying to find out who's behind this illegal business.
According to them, the person responsible set up a business here because the office was empty.
The investigation is ongoing, and the officers want to make sure that illegal products haven't hit the street, given recent articles on the harmfulness of vaping.
"People don't really know what products they're buying," says Cano.
"They can be mixed with other harmful chemicals.
This could be a threat to our community and our children, which is why we always keep them from reaching for these kinds of things.
Aphin's out of business.

The Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector informed that the medicine had been withdrawn from the market for oral infections.
Aphin is a medicine that is used to treat thrushes and candidiasis, Gram-positive infections.
It can also be used to treat infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
The product was withdrawn due to non-compliant quality specifications and a decrease in the content of the active substance.
The product was withdrawn at the request of the Galen Laboratory in Olsztyn.
On average, each month GIF issues several decisions to withdraw individual product series from the market.
A series of medicines suspended in Poland can be re-entered on the market after providing evidence of the safety of its use.

19 zł banknote - where to buy a collector's note about this denomination?
It bears a face value of 19 zlotys and bears an image of Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
At the beginning of October, a new collector's banknote will be put into circulation - informed the National Bank of Poland.
It's another "Independence" banknote.
It is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Polish Security Printing Works.
As stated in the NBP communication, Ignacy Jan Paderewski will be presented on the note.
The date on the banknote, 25 January 2019, is the date on which the 100th anniversary of the establishment of PWPW falls.
Also nominal value, 19 PLN, refers to the year of creation of the Works" - we read in the NBP communication.
The watermark represents the image of the eagle from the first Polish banknote produced in PWPW after regaining independence.
A novelty is the holographic strip placed on the window in the ground.
The front page presents a portrait of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, and a stylised image of the White Eagle Order is presented next to the inscription "independent."
This inscription, reproduced in the manuscript by Józef Piłsudski, is a logo of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence.
In the branch of Lorenzo, symbolizing fraternity and victory, the protection developed by PWPW - Umbra4Note, which is a special form of angular effect, was included.
On the reverse side of the banknote there is an image of the factory building against the background of the panorama of contemporary Warsaw.
Next to it is built into the logotype of PWPW the protection of SPARK Live and the opalescent strip, also visible in UV light in the form of repeated numbers "19" and the abbreviation "NBP" - describes NBP.
The banknote is scheduled to enter circulation on October 2nd to 55,000 units.
One bill will cost 80 zlotys.
All coins and banknotes issued by NBP, including those issued in special series, are legal tender in Poland.
However, their nominal value is significantly higher than that which can be achieved on the collector's market.
The new owner bought it for $500,000, which is over $2 million, for his parents, and decided to move the building to Queenstown, Maryland.
The house was transported on a special platform to the port of Easton where it was loaded onto the barge.
That's where he swam 50 miles across the river.

Exhibition of Elizabeth's Lost Dress I in Hampton Court Palace
The silver threaded dress made of the finest silk kamlotu has been decorated with finely decorated embroidery representing vegetation, animals and butterflies.
For Eleri Lynn, curator of the Historical Royal Palaces exhibition, it meant only one thing.
The faded fabric hanging for 100 years on the wall of the tiny rural parish church she was looking at could only be a missing part of Elizabeth I's wardrobe.
Three years after Lynn stumbled upon an exquisite altar cloth in Bacton County, Herefordshire, Elizabeth's missing dress is scheduled to come to the Hampton Court Palace next month near the same rooms where the queen of the Tudor dynasty could wear it more than 450 years ago.
The measure of the significance of this discovery is that from the entire collection of royal dresses only one more element of the 16th century dress survived.
Although there is no compelling evidence that Elizabeth ever wore this dress, three years of research have strengthened experts in the belief that it must have been part of the royal wardrobe.
The "Silver', incredibly expensive fabric, was reserved exclusively for the most important members of the royal court, and the virtuoso quality of the embroidered plants and flowers, later enriched with deer, dogs, butterflies, fishermen and bear, indicates that the costume belonged to the finest of the people.
The dress, at the time it was made, could have cost the equivalent of the Tudor estate.
"Moreover, in the 90s of the 16th century, i.e. at the end of Elizabeth's reign, she felt a threat from other women outside and would not tolerate rivals wearing such fine fabrics," says Lynn.
"As this is a very important statement, I have asked many people from the community to look at the dresses.
I really enjoyed seeing the dress, too, and they were practically convinced that we had an element of the royal wardrobe in front of us.
The long, renewed life of the dress, cut to serve as an altar cloth in the dark church of St Faith in Bacton, is not as unexpected as it might seem.
Bacton is the settlement from which Blanche Parry, Elizabeth's closest lady of the court, served the Queen for her entire long life, and with whom the fabric was identified in local legends.
Although the dress was created after her death in 1590, experts believe that Elizabeth had to give it to the family of Parry or the parish in memory of Blanche before she died in 1603.
After more than a thousand hours of conservation work, four hundred of them passed on the gentlest hand stitching using specially dyed silk and thin surgical needles, the altar cloth will go to the exhibition next to the one rented at the time of the exhibition by Hatfield House portrait of "Rainbow Portrait," one of the most famous paintings of Elizabeth's time dressed in a similar dress.
"As we work with historical fabrics, we really start to respect the craftsmanship of the people who have done it," says Libby Thompson, head of conservation work, most of which took place in the greenhouse in Hampton Court Palace - the only large enough place to accommodate some of the priceless palace tapestries.
"Looking at the embroidery at the front and behind, I began to feel a great deal of respect for those who made it.
I've never worked on anything so elite.
The Lost Dress of Elizabeth exhibition will begin on 12 October at Hampton Court Palace
Fitch Agency confirmed Poland's rating with a stable perspective
On Friday, Fitch confirmed the long-term rating of Poland in foreign currency at "A-" level - as stated in the Communication.
The rating outlook remained stable.
"The Fitch agency points to strong macroeconomic foundations and a well-diversified economy that is supported by a sound economic policy and a strong banking sector," states the Ministry of Finance's Communication.
As added, Fitch pointed out that Poland was at the top of the economic cycle, and in 2019-2021 the real growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product in Poland will be 4.1 percent, 3.3 percent and 2.9 percent respectively.
The Agency predicts that the general government deficit to GDP between 2020 and 2020 will remain below the 3% limit, 2.3 percent and 1.9 percent respectively.
"The government and local government debt ratio to GDP in 2019 will be 50.5 per cent, and in the following years it will be less (on average 48.3 per cent in the period 2020-2021)," we read.
Polish Rating
On 11 October, Poland's Autumn Review Round will be finished by SP and Moody's.
The rating of Poland in the evaluation of Fitch agency remains the same as issued at the end of March 2019.
The agency then confirmed Poland's rating at "A-" level with a stable perspective.
Among the three largest credit rating agencies, Poland's credit credibility is the highest rated by Moody's - at "A2" level.
The Polish rating according to Fitch and SP is "A-," one level below Moody's.
The prospects of all evaluations are stable.
What's a rating?
Credit rating agencies are created to help investors assess the risk scale of their investment activities.
The rating is granted to companies, banks and countries.
For the latter, any assessment translates into economic attractiveness.
Rating is nothing more than a credit assessment.
It makes decisions about who and how much money to borrow.
Sometimes such information also suggests who best not to give any credit at all, because there is a great risk that money will not be recovered.
A lower rating involves a higher risk.
In turn, higher risk is high interest on credit.
Each assessment must be justified and structured.
The rating can be manipulated, but in this case agencies risk losing their reputation.
At the moment, over 90 percent of the global rating market are controlled by three agencies: Standard Poor's, Fitch and Moody's.
Each of them applies its own assessment system.
"Five Confederations": First, 1000 plus
The "Five of the Confederation" - the main assumptions of the electoral programme - presented candidates to the Sejm from the 40 district on Friday in Koszalin applying for a mandate from the list of KW Confederation of Freedom and Independence.
The leader of the Koszalin letter to the Sejm Krzysztof Chmielewski presented the slogans of the "Fifth Confederation."
"First, program 1000 plus for Poland, second, quick and fair courts, third, cultural voucher and educational voucher, fourth, national security, fifth, this is a healthy life," said Chmielewski.
He pointed out that "the Poles must finally start earning decently" and that is why the Confederation wants to abolish income tax and - as Chmielewski said - "the problem with the tax-free amount will resolve itself."
"The Poles must be given a choice where they want to save their money for retirement, i.e. zero PIT and voluntary ZUS for all," said the leader of the list about the assumptions of the "1000 plus for Poland" program.
On the other hand, Aleksandra Zadencka, starting from the second place of the list, referring to the program's slogan "healthy life" said that "food is getting worse and worse" and in order to change this, it is necessary to "support Polish farmers, Polish agriculture" and to act in favour of GMO-free crops.
As she said, the Confederation is also in favour of stopping "the stigmatising of hemp."
The Dentist declared its support to the Confederation for "development of natural raw materials building'.
She also spoke on behalf of her group for "voluntary vaccinations."
"The right to informed consent cannot be violated," she added.
The next candidates to the Sejm from the Koszalin district emphasized that the Confederation is in favour of "making a deep reform of the judiciary" which would include, among other things, the hearing of the case by the judge "day after day."
They also advocated that education subsidies should be made to schools without self-government, which they say is without additional costs related to the maintenance of officials.
The Confederation is also in favour of "a strong Polish army based on Polish industry and Polish soldiers."
Candidates to the Sejm emphasized the need to increase the army's numbers.
According to them, we also need easier access to weapons.
On economic issues, they stressed the need for "solid access to energy."
"We can gasify coal, we have large deposits of geothermal energy, we also need to consider a return to the idea of a nuclear power plant," said fifth on the election list Piotr Karpiński.
The head of the Mexican cartel is behind a third of the drugs in the U.S.
Chicago - just after sunrise on the West Side of Chicago CBS News reported on the morning drug chase.
Brian McKnight from the D.E.A. showed in full light what was going on.
Last year in Chicago, nearly 800 people died of drug overdose.
McKnight said "probably 90%" of the drugs in Chicago came from Mexico.
The DEA focuses on the Mexican drug lord Nemesio Cervantes, known simply as El Mencho.
"He is the most important priority for the DEA and directly for federal executives in the United States," said Matthew Donahue, chief DEA agent in Mexico.
The El Mencho prize goes to $10 million.
He helped discover dozens of drug labs in the jungle of El Mencho.
El Mencho Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion, CJNG, is responsible for at least one third of the drugs arriving in the United States by land and sea.
According to the Department of Justice, the cartel smuggled "tons" of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl-polluted heroin.
El Mencho's head is a $10 million reward.
Ironically, he lived in California about 30 years ago, where he was arrested for drug charges and eventually deported to Mexico.
That's where he set up a violent cartel.
It has a huge amount of weapons, RPG, 50 caliber weapons.
Basically owns own SWAT teams," added Donahue.
El Mencho unpunishedly protects his empire by means such as shooting down a helicopter of the Mexican army, killing six people or participating in a public hanging this summer.
In recent years, the cartel's brutality has led to thousands of murders.
According to the Mexican government statistics, there are about 94 murders every day.
Mexican drugs in Chicago are so toxic they can't be handled without protective equipment.
In the lab, a pack of cocaine is branded as a smuggler.
For over a third of them, the trail leads to the El Mencho cartel.
"He's responsible for sending the poison that kills innocent women and children," said Donahue.
So when someone's child dies, according to Donahue, there's a "big chance" that drugs come from El Mencho.
Last year more than 67,000 Americans died of an overdose.
France: 27-year-old blackmailed the President of France and his wife
A 27-year-old man tried to blackmail Emmanuel Macron and the first lady, says the French prosecutor.
The defendant assures us that he has documents compromising the presidential couple.
He demanded from the head of state, among others, EUR 300,000 in cash.
A man who was born in Azerbaijan and wanted to work in the police force in France claims to have received "explosive" documents from a person employed in the Elysian Palace.
During his interrogation, he explained that these documents not only compromise the presidential couple, but the disclosure of them in full could endanger the security of Macron and the First Lady of France.
In exchange for their return, he demanded EUR 300,000 - he also wanted an apartment in Paris.
He's been in contact with one of Brigitte Macro's daughters from his previous marriage.
According to the prosecution, the defendant refused to hand over the documents he spoke of to the police.
He announced that he would hand them over to the media - but for now it is not known whether these documents really exist.
They weren't found during the search at that 27-year-old's apartment.
The man has been psychiatricly tested, but the doctors have found no serious problems with him.
PS4 game will be old-school - Sony reveals surprising facts about PlayStation 4
Sony sheds more light on the soon-to-be debut game available only on PS4 The Last of Us: Part Two.

Fans could also see a new piece of breathtaking gameplay from the upcoming action game.
Even more details were revealed in the days after the loud premiere of The Last of Us 2.
And it looks like Sony and Naughty Dog are reaching for old-school climates in many ways.
It was decided to do something we haven't seen much since PS 1. The Last of Us: Part 2 will be sold on several tiles.
Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog confirmed this in a sensational interview given to The Telegraph, explaining that the sequel has grown into one of the most extensive games in history.
"The plot is ambitious and intricate in aspects where the one was not," he said.
It must have been so extensive to be able to present this kind of story with so many characters.
We weren't going to create the most extensive game, it just happened.
"We are excited to know how many possibilities there are in this story. There will be moments when you think that you are going to end, but you will realize that this is just the beginning and that a whole new chapter is beginning," says Druckmann.
It's such an ambitious game that it didn't fit on one BluRay and it's on two tiles.
Another site revealed that The Last of Us: Part Two contains one or two easter eggs with adult content (information given by Gamestpot).
We will not spoil the surprise, but emerging in the game easter eggs refer to the old-school works of Naughty Dog.
You will learn more when The Last of Us: Part Two debuts on February 21, 2020 only on PS4.
People with PS4 can prepare for the sequel opening, reaching the Last of Us Remastered available in the PS Plus offer.
Sony recently announced a list of free PS4 games offered since October 2019 by PlayStation Plus, including the above mentioned production of Naughty Dog.
PS Plus subscribers will also have access to MLB The Show 19.
If you like The Last of Us Remastered and want to place a pre-premiere order for a sequel, Sony reported that there will be many versions of the game, including an exclusive edition containing a replica of Ella's backpack and her bracelet and a 30-centimeter figurine of this cult character.
Run, jerk and fight - Sports
On Saturday, First League Stomil will take Podbeskida and want to win.
Stomil's players have been invincible for three rounds.
Piotr Zajączkowski's subjects won seven points at the time, because they won with Stala Mielec and Chojniczanka Chojnice, and in the last match there was a goalless draw in Suwałki.
Now the Olsztyn band will take Podbeskida on Saturday at 6:00 p.m., which is listed as one of the favorites for promotion to the Extraklasa.
Stomil's closest rivals take fourth place in the table and have an advantage point over the Olsztyn team.
The podbeskid on trips this season played six times and scored two wins, draws and defeats.Stomil, however, feels very good about his facility - at the stadium at Al. Piłsudskiego 69, the team of Piotr Zajączkowski won three times and lost once.
In total, in ten queues the Olsztynians gathered 17 points and are at the top of the table, although after two defeats at the start of the games nothing predicted this.
"Every change needs time to produce results," explains Piotr Skiba.
"Well, we finally got caught up, we believed in each other, and we could work under normal conditions.
All we did was focus on the ball game.
There are clean heads, there is a good atmosphere and everyone knows what to do because we have a strong training staff."
On Tuesday, Stomil's footballers eliminated the Chorzów Movement from the Polish Cup, but needed overtime and a series of penalty shots.
Piotr Skiba, Grzegorz Lech and Janusz Bucholc did not go to the south of Poland because Coach Zajączkowski gave these key players a rest before Saturday's fight with Podbeskidzie.
In Chorzów, on the other hand, Jakub Mosakowski, who finally scored his long-awaited goal, played back after his injury.
"It's always fun to score a goal, and I hit it at a point where we can continue to play in cups (Mosakowski evened at 3:3 in 119 minutes - ed.).
My dad used to bite me a lot and laugh that I couldn't get the goal, and I always told him I'd shoot at a point when he wouldn't expect it."
Now Mosakowski hopes to return to the basic composition, especially because of the yellow cards he cannot play Ołeh Tarasenko.
"That's why I work hard at training so I can play in the first squad," says Mosakowski.
"In Chorzów I did everything I could to present myself as best as possible.
But whether I play or sit on the backup bench, I'm gonna support the team as much as I am.
Because the most important thing is the team and three points in the game against Podbeskidzie.
I'm sure we'll have a hard time meeting where victory will have to run, toss and fight."
In the middle of the Olsztyn defense can still play Rafał Remisz, who recently also suffered a trauma, so whether he will perform, we will not know until Saturday, the more that Coach Zajączkowski traditionally tries to keep secret until the end of the HR case.
A man raped and murdered his niece
"You'll never see the light of day.
You will never breathe fresh air again," said Judge Kevin K. Allen, turning to Alex Whipple.
"What you did was so disgusting and despicable that you had to spend the rest of your life in prison," he added.
Five-year-old Lizzy disappeared in May.
Her search lasted five days, until Whipple pointed out where the body was hidden.
"How could anyone do this to his own niece?" asked Dejay Smith, the girl's uncle.
"You're the worst person humanity has to offer," he said to Alex Whipple.
"I would give anything to see her again, to hug her," said the mother of the murdered girl.
"Our lives will never be the same again," added the devastated woman.
According to Fox News, 22-year-old Whipple showed no emotion during the interrogation.
Last month, he admitted he kidnapped, sexually abused, and murdered a girl.
A man's lawyer said that his client grew up in an imperfect family.
He was supposed to be molested as a child.
He also added that Whipple was aware that he had committed a terrible act and was willing to be punished.
A man was sentenced to life without the possibility of applying for parole.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that he would give nearly $100 million extra funds to communities affected by drought.
The programme providing money to farmers affected by drought will be extended and the criteria for the allocation of farm allowances will be simplified.
The aid package covers nearly $34 million for an initiative to support communities affected by drought, so that eligible farms can receive up to $3,000 in an emergency.
Each of the 13 local areas under the drought relief programme will receive up to $1 million infrastructure grants and assistance to cope with the consequences of the disaster.
The new support package is an addition to over $7 billion allocated by the government to the drought fund.

In the Name of Love China's Mistress Busters
documentary: In China the number of divorces has doubled in the last decade.
Third parties were generally responsible for this situation.
More and more men have had extramarital relations, which has led to the development of a special industry in this country - a professional lover slayer who has the task of saving the wives who have been betrayed.
Let's chant loudly: Ma-te-ush!
Attempting to welcome the Prime Minister to the Silesian bakery
A separate general rehearsal was carried out before the election meeting with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Piekary Śląskie.
"Dear Sirs, louder, louder, this way we will not welcome the Prime Minister here!
Let us chant loudly: Ma-te-ush!" urged the host.
Unfortunately, the efforts of the enthusiastic conductor did not produce the expected result.
The election campaign is in progress.
Politicians travel all over the country, convincing voters to themselves.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is also campaigning intensively, who is a frequent guest in the region as leader of the Silesian PiS list.
Each meeting is carefully planned, including the appropriate setting.
That was the case, or rather, in the Silesian Bakers.
You know, a special guest should be greeted specially.
Before the meeting with the Prime Minister, the host in the Chamber decided to conduct a general test.
Like a strong leader, he tried to encourage the crowd to chant the name of the head of government.
"This will not be a welcome for me, but a welcome for Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki!
Also louder, my dears!" he encouraged enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, the crowd wasn't fully kidnapped by the driver's hot impulses and reluctantly answered "Ma-te-ush," but the recording of the enthusiastic voiree makes the Internet hot.
Ronald Lee Haskell: A man convicted of murdering his ex-wife's family in Texas
Ronald Lee Haskell, 39, was convicted of murder in 2014 of Stephen and Katie Stay and four of their five children in Spring, Texas.
According to the authorities, he entered the Stay's house on 9 July 2014, demanding the whereabouts of his wife, Melanna Haskell, with whom he was separated.
She wasn't there, but her sister Katie Stay and her family were there.
Stephen Stay, 39, Katie Stay, 33, two boys aged 13 and 4, and two girls aged 9 and 7, were killed when Haskell opened fire, as Harris County Sheriff's Office claims.
Only one family member survived, 15-year-old Cassidy Stay.
The authorities claimed that she was badly injured, but she managed to recover completely.
On Thursday, jury members rejected Ronald Lee Haskell's defense on the basis of insanity.
The jury will reconvene on Monday to pass judgment.
Quantum Internet Getting Closer to Reality - ScienceDaily
The results of the U.S. Army's research are one step closer to fucking quantum Internet.
Such an internet could offer military capabilities in terms of security, detection and accuracy of time retention not available with a traditional approach to networking.
The Center for Distributed Quantum Information Processing of Military Research Laboratory for Development Opportunities Conducting the American Army's Fights looked at researchers from the University of Insbruck, who managed to achieve a record transfer of state tangled between matter and light - 50 kilometers with fiber optic cables.
The entanglement is the correlation that can arise between quantums such as cubits.
When two cups are tangled and one of them is measured, this will affect the measurement made on the other, even if the other cubit is physically distant.
"These [50 km] are two rows of magnitude further than previously possible and this is a feasible distance to start building interurban quantum networks" - said Dr. Ben Lanyon, experimental physicist from the University of Innsbruck and the main researcher in the project, whose findings were published in the journal Nature, Quantum Information section.
The interurban quantum networks would consist of remote nodes of the physical cubit network, which are intertwined in spite of a large physical distance.
Researchers have found that this dispersion of the confused state is essential for the creation of a quantum Internet.
"This demonstration is a major step forward in order to achieve a fragmented state of large-scale entanglement," said Dr. Sara Gamble, co-managing the military programme supporting this research.
The quality of the tangled state at the other end is also high enough to meet certain requirements of some of the most difficult applications of quantum networks.
The research team began the experiment with a calcium atom trapped in an ion trap.
With laser beams, researchers entered the quantum state into the ion, at the same time inducing it to emit a photon in which quantum information was stored.
As a result, quantum states of the atom and light particles were tangled.
The challenge is to send a photon with a fiber optic cable.
"The photon emitted by the calcium ion has a wavelength of 854 nanometers and is quickly absorbed by the fiber" - said Lanyon.
Therefore, his team initially sent a piece of light through a nonlinear crystal illuminated with a strong laser beam.
The wavelength of the photon has been converted to an optimal value from the point of view of long distance transmission - the current standard telecommunication wavelength is 1550 nanometers.
The researchers then sent this photon over a 50-kilometer fiber optic cable.
Their measurements show that the atom and the light particles were still tangled even after the wavelength was transformed and the distance passed.
"The decision to choose calcium means that this result sets a direct path for creating a tangled network of atomic clocks at long physical distances, because calcium can be co-incarnated with a high-quality cubit of "clock."
The army is very interested in tangled clock networks built on a large scale due to applications for precise position determination, precise navigation and time synchronization," said Dr. Fredrik Fatemi, a military researcher who also co-manages the program.
